Reliance Named as Commissioning Agent for New IAA Hotel

Reliance will provide third-party commissioning services for the construction of the new Indianapolis Airport Authority’s terminal-connected Westin Hotel. The 1,178,000 SF hotel will be built according to an energy-efficient and sustainable design.

With the goal of attaining LEED Silver certification, Reliance will deliver fundamental and enhanced commissioning services, including building envelope and monitoring-based commissioning. Reliance is looking forward to being an integral part of the project team from the design phase through occupancy, ensuring the building’s systems are designed, installed, tested, and maintained to meet the owner’s requirements.

“We are so appreciative to have been selected as the commissioning agent for this exciting project,” said Reliance President Stacy Carey. “The new hotel will provide a convenient overnight option for travelers and further showcase Indianapolis as a world-class city.”

The new Marriott Westin hotel will connect to the west side of the IND Terminal Parking Garage. The hotel will feature 253 rooms, a full-service restaurant, a rooftop bar and lounge open to the public, a fitness center, and 10,000 SF of dedicated meeting space.

Construction of the hotel is expected to create around 3,500 jobs. A groundbreaking ceremony will take place this spring, with the hotel scheduled to open in December 2027.

Reliance has the right people, resources, and expertise to deliver success.
